Final Stats

Montevallo, AL - Montevallo's Justin Girard scored in the 84th minute and lifted the Falcons over the Christian Brothers University Buccaneer soccer team, 1-0 tonight.

CBU (4-8-1, 1-3 GSC) out shot the Falcons in the first half, 4-3 and held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks throughout the game.

UM (7-3-2, 4-1 GSC) goalkeeper Raven Kent held the Bucs at bay stopping four shots in goal. Girard had two shots and a goal, while Jonathon Maloney had three shots and an assist.

Rasaq Kuteyi and Mariano Ilari each had two shots, while Matt Werakso, Brad Whitsitt and Harry Murphy had a shot each. Chad Rounder stopped four shots in goal.

The Bucs will be back in action Sunday, October 16 when they travel to Delta State for a 3 p.m. start.
