Lady Bucs Go 1-1 At Henderson State And Southern Arkansas

Memphis, TN -- The Christian Brothers University Lady Buccaneer volleyball team split a pair of conference matches this weekend falling at Henderson State in five games, but rebounding to defeat Southern Arkansas in four.

CBU (17-6, 3-2 GSC) split the games in its match with HSU, taking games two and four but dropping the other three. The won game one versus SAU, dropped the second, but came back to win the next two and the match.

HSU ( 8-11, 3-1 GSC) got 26 kills and a .388 attack average from Britnee James.

SAU ( 8-10, 1-4 GSC) saw Kristina Daily have 20 kills and 10 digs and the Lady Riders had 106 digs as a team.

The Lady Bucs were led by Laura Washington's 20 kills and .472 attack average in the match. Hattie Schnacke and Aubrey Pancratz had 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Schnacke had a team-high 27 digs, while Nan Kimbrell added 26. Lauren Amundson had 47 assists and 17 digs. Bridget Buckley and Krista Gyarmati had 12 and 11 digs. The Lady Bucs had 101 digs as a team int he match.

CBU will be back in action on Thursday, October 6 when they travel to Akransas-Monticello for a 7 p.m. match. It will be the first match against the first-year UAM program.
