Final Stats

Memphis, TN - The Christian Brothers University Lady Buccaneer basketball team had a 14-point lead at the half and went on to defeat LeMoyne-Owen on the road 53-45.

CBU (5-1) forced 13 turnovers and made 8-9 free-throws in the first half. Crystal Shelton had 10 points at the half.

The Lady Bucs pushed their lead to 18 (30-12) at the 18:39 mark of the second half. The lead was 19 with 2:41 left in the game, but a 10-1 run by LOC over the final two minutes made the game interesting.

LOC (1-5) had 15 points from Shadonna Tate. Tate went 4-9 from the field and 6-8 from the free throw line. Lenor Adderly had 11 rebounds.

Shelton had 14 points and five rebounds. Mary Shea Hackett scored 12 and added seven boards, while Kelli Gross had six points and six rebounds. Kristen Kirkland added six points.

The Lady Bucs shot 36 percent for the game and out rebounded LOC 38-36.

CBU will be back in action on Saturday, December 17 when the Lady Bucs play host to West Alabama at Canale Arena. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
