Final Stats

For the second straight game, the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs dropped a heartbreaker in overtime, falling 3-2 at Ouachita Baptist in Gulf South Conference action Wednesday afternoon.

Joyce Hansen accounted for all three goals by the Lady Tigers (9-4, 5-2 GSC) in the game.  She scored unassisted in the seventh minute, then assisted on a Lauren Pierce goal in the 11th minute.

Junior Courtney Robertson (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley HS) was the story offensively for the Lady Bucs (6-7, 1-3), scoring both goals unassisted.  She answered Pierce's goal just 18 seconds later with one of her own, and she scored her 10th goal of the season in the 41st minute to tie the game at two.

The match would stay tied at two until there was 1:01 left in the first overtime, when Jessie Morgan found Hansen after a corner kick and Hansen scored the game-winner.

The Lady Bucs were out-shot 18-10, including a 12-4 margin in shots on goal, as keeper Sarah Plummer (Lawrenceburg, Ind./East Central HS) made seven saves.

The Lady Bucs will try to even their record Sunday when Harding comes to Signaigo Field for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
