Final Stats

CLEVELAND, Miss.--The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs suffered their fourth overtime loss of the season Wednesday afternoon at Delta State, dropping a 3-2 Gulf South Conference match to the Lady Statesmen.

Delta State (5-12, 2-6 GSC) took a 2-0 lead midway through the second half as Shannon Brown scored in the 63rd minute and Allie Libby scored in the 71st minute.

With their backs against the wall, the Lady Bucs (6-9, 1-5) rallied to tie it with two goals just 3:29 apart as sophomore Megan Sample (Dickson, Tenn./Dickson County HS) scored in the 77th minute and junior Courtney Robertson (Cincinnati, Ohio/MacAuley HS) scored the equalizer in the 80th minute.

In the overtime, Delta's Catherine Sanford scored in the 97th minute to end the game. The Lady Bucs have now lost all four overtime games this season, including three of their last four games.

The Lady Bucs will finish their season this weekend as they host Alabama-Huntsville Friday night at 5 p.m. and West Georgia Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
