ARKADELPHIA, Ark.--Edith Musebe had 17 kills to power host Henderson State to a 3-0 Gulf South Conference win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Bucs (13-14, 2-8 GSC West) led 14-12 in game one, but the Lady Reddies (18-12, 6-4) scored five straight points on their way to a 30-22 win in the opening game. HSU picked up a 30-27 win in game two and finished the match with a 30-22 win in the third game.
Sophomore Bridget Buckley (Parker, Colo./Chaparral HS) had a team-high 16 digs for the Lady Bucs. Senior Lauren Amundson (Stanwood, Wash./Stanwood HS) added 32 assists, while senior Krista Gyarmati (Phoenix, Ariz./Shadow Mountain HS) and sophomore Aubrey Pancratz (Chandler, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) led CBU with nine kills each.
In addition to Musebe's 17 kills, Raveon Harrowa turned in a 10-kill, 12-dig performance for the Lady Reddies. Rachel Norton had 41 assists, while Bethany Wright added 25 digs.
The Lady Bucs will travel to Magnolia, Ark., Sunday to face Southern Arkansas in GSC play.
