Lady Bisons Top Lady Bucs in 3

MEMPHIS--Harding stayed perfect in Gulf South Conference West Division play as they defeated the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs 3-0 Thursday night at Rhodes Field House in Searcy, Ark.

The Lady Bisons (16-4, 7-0 GSC West) cruised in the first two games, winning 30-14 and 30-24 before coming from behind in game three to win 31-29. Harding has now won six straight GSC matches 3-0 since the Lady Bucs (13-10, 2-5) took them to five games in the GSC West opener last month.

Senior Laura Washington (Seattle, Wash./Garfield HS) had 13 kills and hit .611 to lead the Lady Bucs, while senior Krista Gyarmati (Phoenix, Ariz./Shadow Mountain HS) had a team-best 11 digs. Senior setter Lauren Amundson (Stanwood, Wash./Stanwood HS) had 31 assists for CBU.

Katelin Parks had 21 kills, 10 digs, and a .594 hitting percentage for the Lady Bisons, while Tiffany Morrison added 11 kills. Meredith Rosenbaum recorded a match-best 13 digs.

The Lady Bucs will return to Canale Arena Tuesday night as they host Arkansas Tech. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
