Arkadelphia, AR - The Christian Brothers University Lady Buccaneer softball team split a double-header tonight with Ouachita Baptist, winning game one, 2-0, but losing game two, 1-0.
CBU (8-14, 1-8 GSC) got a complete-game shutout from Nikki Dunn in game one. The freshman went all seven, allowing just five hits, while striking out one and walking one. Hannah Shackelford and Meagan Shackleford had RBIs in game one. Dunn went 2-3 at the plate helping her own cause.
OBU (10-4, 6-2 GSC) used two pitchers in game two and shutout the Lady Bucs, 1-0. Lauren Western went 2-3 with an RBI for the Tigers.
Kallie McFatter allowed just one earned run on four hits, while striking out four in the hard luck loss. Jenny Bernard went 2-2 and Michelle Paul was 2-3. Tia Shores, Meagan Shackleford and Hannah Shackelford had a hit each.
Both teams will be back in action tomorrow with a double-header beginning at 2 p.m. The games were originally slated to start at noon, but were pushed back.
