Bucs Win Series Finale At Central Arkansas, 8-1

Final Stats

Memphis, TN - Freshman catcher Matt Trouy drove in four and the Christian Brothers University Buccaneer baseball team defeated Central Arkansas, 8-1 in the finale of a three-game series.

CBU (8-3, 1-2 GSC) scored four runs in the first, two in the second and two in the sixth in the victory.

Mark Foster singled to start the game and Michael St. Cin followed that up with a single, advancing Foster to third. John Raymond Hehn then drove in Foster with a sacrifice fly to right. Ryne Dahlke had a two out double to drive in St. Cin and Trouy doubled home Dahlke and Charlie Soukup who had singled before him.

Trouy added another two RBIs in the third, driving home Dahlke and Blake Christian. The Bucs scored twice more in the sixth, before giving up a lone run to the Bears in the seventh.

Shawn Morgan started and pitched five innings, allowing no runs on just three hits. He struck out two. Kenny Ellis pitched four innings in relief, striking out two and allowing one run.

The Bucs will be back in action this Tuesday, March 7 when they play at Rhodes at 2 p.m.
