Foster's Two Home Runs Blasts CBU Past LeMoyne-Owen, 16-8

Memphis, TN -Mark Foster hit two homers and John Raymond Hehn added a long ball of his own and the Christian Brothers University Buccaneer baseball team defeated LeMoyne-Owen 16-8 today.

CBU (8-4) scored two runs in the first inning, but fell behind as LeMoyne plated seven unanswered to lead 7-2 after three innings.

The Bucs would respond, though, scoring 14 over the final three innings beginning with a six-run fourth to re-claim the lead.

Foster went 4-5 with four RBIs and four runs scored. Hehn was 3-5 with three runs and three RBIs, while Michael St. Cin, Blake Christian and Austin Baker had two hits each. Baker drove in four in his second-straight game in left field. Andrew Griffy scored twice.

Brooks Meadows pitched two innings in relief and earned his first collegiate victory, allowing just one hit. Nick Ely came in and struck out one to close out the game.

The Bucs will be back in GSC play this weekend playing host to Henderson State with two games on Saturday, March 11 and a single game on Sunday, March 12.
