MEMPHIS--Eckerd's Amy Lambert scored two goals, including one in overtime, to send the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs to a 2-1 defeat Sunday afternoon in Carrollton, Ga.
Lambert scored in the 28th minute to give the Tritons (1-4) a lead, and her goal with just under a minute left in the first overtime
Junior Rachael Valenzuela (Lawrenceburg, Ind./East Central HS) scored an 83rd-minute goal, assisted by Cara O'Hern (Atlanta, Ga./South Forsyth HS), to force the overtime, but Lambert's second goal ended the match in the 99th minute to give Eckerd the win.
Freshman goalkeeper Christina Barone (Phoenix, Ariz./Cactus Shadows HS) made five saves for CBU.
The Lady Bucs (3-2) out-shot Eckerd 13-12 for the match, but the Tritons had a 7-5 edge in shots on goal.
The Lady Bucs return home to face Rhodes College Wednesday night at Signaigo Field, with the match set to begin at 7 p.m.
