Final Stats

Senior Laura Washington (Seattle, Wash./Garfield HS) had 22 kills and nine blocks to lead the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs to a 3-1 Gulf South Conference West Division win at Ouachita Baptist Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Bucs (8-7, 1-2 GSC West) won 30-24, 26-30, 31-29, 30-27.

Washington's 22 kills came in 43 attempts, for a .372 hitting percentage.  Sophomore Jenna Cherry (Covington, La./Covington HS) was the only other Lady Buc in double figures in kills with 15, and she added 18 digs as well.  Senior Krista Gyarmati (Phoenix, Ariz./Shadow Mountain HS) had a match-high 25 digs, while sophomore Bridget Buckley (Parker, Colo./Chaparral HS) had 24.  Senior Lauren Amundson (Stanwood, Wash./Stanwood HS) had 12 digs to go with her 51 assists.

Breanne Garrett led Ouachita (7-7, 0-1) with 17 kills, while Britney Davis had 14 kills and 17 digs.

The Lady Bucs travel to West Alabama Tuesday night for a non-conference match before hosting Henderson State and Southern Arkansas Saturday and Sunday, respectively, in GSC West division action.
