Final Stats

Junior forward Courtney Robertson (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley HS) scored a 10th-minute goal that proved to be the difference as the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs earned a 1-0 victory at North Alabama in their Gulf South Conference opener.

Robertson's goal, off a cross from sophomore Nicole Evans (Rugby, England), helped the Lady Bucs (6-3, 1-0 GSC) overcome North Alabama's 15-5 margin in shots.

The Lady Bucs' defense was effective limiting North Alabama's chances, as freshman goalkeeper Christina Barone (Phoenix, Ariz./Cactus Shadows HS) made the save on the only North Alabama shot on goal.  CBU had a 4-1 edge over the Lady Lions (3-5-1, 0-3) in shots on goal.

CBU will return to Signaigo Field Friday night to face Montevallo.  Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
