CBU-Williams Baptist Box | CBU-Rhodes Box

MEMPHIS--The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs won a pair of non-conference matches Tuesday night at Rhodes, defeating Williams Baptist 3-0 and Rhodes 3-2.

The Lady Bucs (12-8) cruised past Williams Baptist (5-9) in three games, winning 30-11, 30-18, 30-19.

Sophomore Jenna Cherry (Covington, La./Covington HS) and freshman Hanna Orendorff (Renton, Wash./Liberty HS) had 10 kills each for CBU, while senior Krista Gyarmati (Phoenix, Ariz./Shadow Mountain HS) had 14 digs.

CBU had a tougher time against host Rhodes (11-8), winning 24-30, 30-22, 28-30, 30-20, 15-8.

Senior Laura Washington (Seattle, Wash./Garfield HS) had 22 kills and hit .636 to lead the way for CBU.  Gyarmati had 14 kills and 24 digs, while Cherry added 10 kills and 15 digs.  Sophomore libero Bridget Buckley (Parker, Colo./Chaparral HS) had 16 digs, while senior setter Lauren Amundson (Stanwood, Wash./Stanwood HS) had 54 assists.
