Final Stats
MONTEVALLO, Ala.--Three different players scored for Montevallo as they earned a key Gulf South Conference win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Friday night.
Kami Kapaku put the Lady Falcons (7-6, 2-1 GSC) on the board just 1:07 into the game as she scored on a free kick. Stacey Balaam converted a penalty kick in the 21st minute to provide the game-winner for Montevallo.
The Lady Bucs (6-4-1, 1-1-1) got on the board when freshman midfielder Elin Svavarsdottir (Reykjavik, Iceland) found the net in the 41st minute, assisted by senior midfielder Francesca DeRanzo (Columbia, Tenn./Columbia Central HS).
In the 56th minute, Balaam fed Paula Radmard for the game's final goal as Radmard headed in a Balaam free kick.
For the night, CBU was out-shot 18-6, including 8-1 in shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Christina Barone (Phoenix, Ariz./Cactus Shadows HS) made five saves for CBU.
The Lady Bucs will be back in action Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. as they host West Florida.
