Bucs Rally Past FHU 7-4

HENDERSON, Tenn.--A six-run seventh inning carried the Christian Brothers University Bucs to a come-from-behind 7-4 win at Freed-Hardeman Tuesday afternoon.

The Bucs (21-28) trailed 3-1 heading into the sixth, but they turned four hits into six runs, capped by a two-run Charlie Soukup (St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) homer. The Lions (28-22) added one run in the eighth, but CBU held on for the 7-4 win.

Freshman Anthony Apro (Nicholasville, Ky./West Jessamine HS) earned the win as he allowed three runs in six innings, improving his record to 2-4. Bobby Daush (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) allowed one run in two innings, and Steven Thomas (Bartlett, Tenn./Bartlett HS) nailed the door shut for his first save of the year.

The Bucs will be back in action Wednesday afternoon as they visit Bethel at 3 p.m.
