Final Stats

TAMPA, Fla.--No. 2 Lynn used a 67th-minute goal from Dwight Barnett to defeat the Christian Brothers University Bucs 1-0 Friday night in Tampa.

Barnett broke away from the CBU defense, collected a pass from Gabe Taboada, and scored in the lower right corner of the net for the only goal for the Knights (5-0).

CBU (3-1) goalkeeper Daniel Foster (Gallatin, Tenn./Gallatin HS) stood tall in the net, making five big saves in the first half to keep the Bucs in the game.

The Bucs had a series of chances in the final minutes, but three straight shot attempts were blocked by Lynn defenders.

CBU will be back in action Sunday as they face the University of Tampa at 11 a.m. The Bucs' next home game is scheduled for Wednesday night at 7 p.m. against Rhodes.
