ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs moved one step closer to a berth in next month's Gulf South Conference Tournament with a five-set win at Henderson State Thursday night.

The win would not come easily for the Lady Bucs (17-6, 5-2 GSC West), who won 25-20, 22-25, 25-20, 16-25, 15-9 as the back-and-forth match saw 188 digs between the two teams.

Kelly Nolan (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain HS) had a team-high 30 digs, the Lady Bucs' most since Krista Gyarmati had 33 against Southern Arkansas in November 2003.  Michelle Hein (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) led five Lady Bucs in double-figures in kills with 13.  Jenna Cherry (Covington, La./Covington HS) and Hanna Orendorff (Renton, Wash./Liberty HS) had a dozen each, while Nolan and Aubrey Pancratz (Chandler, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) each had 10.

Hein also added 22 digs, as five Lady Bucs also reached double figures in that category.  Cherry and Whitney Weyhrich (Lincoln, Neb./North Star HS) had 13 each, while Bridget Buckley (Parker, Colo./Chapparal HS) added 12.  Weyhrich also added 54 assists.

Tania Liufau led HSU (2-19, 1-6) with 14 kills, while Tiffany Gunn had 10.  Bethany Wright recorded a match-high 44 digs for the Lady Reddies.

The Lady Bucs step out of GSC West play Saturday as they visit Trevecca Nazarene for a tri-match.  They will face Evangel at 2 p.m. before taking on TNU at 4 p.m.
