MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs' winning streak ended at seven matches Thursday night with a four-set loss to Harding at Canale Arena, the Lady Bucs' first loss of the year in Gulf South Conference West Division play.
The Lady Bisons (13-6, 2-1 GSC West) took the first two sets 25-17 and 25-21 to take a commanding lead. The Lady Bucs (14-5, 2-1) took the third set 25-18, but Harding won the final set 25-12.
Manuela Nesheva led Harding with 16 kills, while Shellie Rummer added 15. Libero Emily Tate led five Lady Bisons in double-figures in digs with 17.
Aubrey Pancratz (Chandler, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) had a team-high nine kills for the Lady Bucs, while
Michelle Hein (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) had eight kills and a team-high 15 digs.
Whitney Weyhrich (Lincoln, Neb./North Star HS) had 33 assists and six blocks.
The Lady Bucs will return to the court Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. as they visit Southern Arkansas.
