MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs celebrated Senior Day by clinching a Gulf South Conference Tournament berth with a three-set win over Southern Arkansas Saturday afternoon.
In the first set, the Lady Bucs (21-7, 6-3 GSC West) jumped out to a 7-2 lead and never looked back on their way to a 25-14 win. The second set started close, with CBU holding an 8-6 lead before scoring 10 straight points on their way to a 25-11 win. The Lady Bucs put it away with a 25-20 win in the third set, clinching a top-four finish in the GSC West Division and a berth in next month's GSC Tournament.
Hanna Orendorff (Renton, Wash./Liberty HS) led the way with 11 kills and a .611 hitting percentage, leading the way for a CBU offense that only committed five attack errors all match as they hit .360 as a team.
Whitney Weyhrich (Lincoln, Neb./North Star HS) had 30 assists as she spread the ball around, with seven different Lady Bucs recording kills.

Brittany Cochran (Germantown, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy),
Aubrey Pancratz (Chandler, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS), and
Stephanie Parker (Collierville, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian HS) in a pre-match ceremony.
Veronica Ogbeide led SAU (10-16, 2-7) with nine kills, while Mallory McKee had a match-high 17 digs.
The Lady Bucs will visit second-place Harding at 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
