SEARCY, Ark.—Host Harding held off the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs in three nip-and-tuck sets Tuesday night in Gulf South Conference volleyball action.
The Lady Bisons (20-8, 7-2 GSC West) rallied for a 25-22 win over the Lady Bucs (21-8, 6-4) in the opening set, and they rallied again to win set two by an identical score. They put it away with a hard-fought 25-21 win in the third and final set.
Aubrey Pancratz (Chandler, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) led the Lady Bucs with nine kills and a .268 hitting percentage.
Bridget Buckley (Parker, Colo./Chapparal HS) collected a team-high 16 digs, while
Kelly Nolan (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain HS) added 12 digs.
Whitney Weyhrich (Lincoln, Neb./North Star HS) collected 26 assists for the Lady Bucs.
Manuela Nesheva led Harding with 21 kills, while Emily Tate notched a match-best 26 digs and Leah Tepe had 40 assists.
The Lady Bucs will be back in action Thursday night as they host first-place Arkansas Tech (29-3, 9-0).
