MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs combined for 14 total blocks as they upset Arkansas Tech in three sets Thursday night at Canale Arena to clinch their first winning record in conference play since joining the Gulf South Conference in 1997.

The Lady Bucs (22-8, 7-4 GSC West) rallied for a 30-28 win in the first set, which featured 15 ties and seven lead changes.  The Lady Bucs came from behind again to win the second set 25-23, and they rolled to a 25-16 win in the final set to wrap up a sweep of an Arkansas Tech (29-4, 9-1) team that had only dropped two sets total in their first nine GSC matches.

Jenna Cherry (Covington, La./Covington HS) led the way for the Lady Bucs with eight total blocks.  The Lady Bucs' 14 blocks were the most allowed by the Golden Suns this year, as they had not allowed more than nine in a match all year.
