MONTEVALLO, Ala.—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs earned a split in their weekend road trip as they picked up a four-set win at Montevallo Sunday afternoon.
The Lady Bucs (23-9) had to dig out of an early hole after dropping the opening set 25-18, but they rallied to tie the match with a 25-16 win in the second set. CBU won the final two sets 25-20 and 25-23 to earn the win.
Aubrey Pancratz (Chandler, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) led the Lady Bucs with 15 kills, while
Jenna Cherry (Covington, La./Covington HS) added 12 kills and 12 digs.
Kelly Nolan (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain HS) racked up a match-high 18 digs, and
Whitney Weyhrich (Lincoln, Neb./North Star HS) led the way with 43 assists.
Lauren Tortorici led Montevallo (18-17) with 18 kills and 15 digs. Katy Handrick had 15 kills and 14 digs, while Monika Tortorici added 10 kills.
The Lady Bucs will play their final non-conference match Tuesday afternoon at 5 p.m. as they host Mississippi Valley State.
