MONTICELLO, Ark.—Host Arkansas-Monticello rallied for a five-set win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Saturday afternoon in Gulf South Conference West Division play.
The Cotton Blossoms (9-12, 4-2 GSC West) won the first set 25-18, but the Lady Bucs (13-11, 2-4) won the next two sets 25-22. UAM won the fourth set 25-18 and won the match with a 15-8 win in the fifth set.
Logan Westphal (Herndon, Va./Herndon HS) led the Lady Bucs with 15 kills, while
Hanna Orendorff (Renton, Wash./Liberty HS) added 14.
Corinne Doder (St. Louis, Mo./Cor Jesu Academy) collected 23 of the Lady Bucs' 77 digs.
Kelly Nolan (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain HS) added 20, while
Michelle Hein (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) had 11.
Kelsey Green (Memphis, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy) added 13 digs to her 42 assists.
The Lady Bucs return to action Thursday night at 6 p.m. as they open the second half of the GSC West schedule against Henderson State at Canale Arena.
