MEMPHIS—Visiting Arkansas Tech swept a three-set match from the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Tuesday night in Gulf South Conference West Division play.
The Golden Suns (14-8, 3-1 GSC West) won close in the first two sets, 25-20 and 25-22 before pulling away for a 25-11 win in the third set.
Kelly Nolan (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain HS) added eight digs to her team-high seven kills for the Lady Bucs (13-10, 2-3).
Hanna Orendorff (Renton, Wash./Liberty HS) and
Logan Westphal (Herndon, Va./Herndon HS) added six kills each, while
Corinne Doder (St. Louis, Mo./Cor Jesu Academy) led the Lady Bucs with nine digs.
Kelsey Green (Memphis, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy) collected 23 assists.
Sarah Von Lienen led the Golden Suns with 20 kills and eight blocks, while Laura Farney posted a match-best 12 digs.
The Lady Bucs wrap up the first half of their GSC West schedule Saturday afternoon as they visit Arkansas-Monticello at 1 p.m. Their next home match is set for Thursday, Oct. 15, against Henderson State at 6 p.m.
