MEMPHIS—Visiting Arkansas-Monticello rallied from a two-set deficit as they knocked off the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs in five sets Saturday afternoon at Canale Arena in Gulf South Conference West Division play.
The Lady Bucs (17-15, 5-7 GSC West) seemed poised to upset the second-place team in the division, winning the first two sets 25-21 and 25-22. The Cotton Blossoms (17-17, 9-3) finished with a 25-21 win in the third set before winning 25-15 and 15-11 to claim the win.
Logan Westphal (Herndon, Va./Herndon HS) and
Michelle Hein (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) racked up a dozen kills each, while
Hanna Orendorff (Renton, Wash./Liberty HS) celebrated her Senior Day with 10 kills and five blocks.
Corinne Doder (St. Louis, Mo./Cor Jesu Academy) collected a match-high 28 digs, and
Kelly Nolan (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain HS) also had 20. Hein added 16 digs, while
Lauren South (Bartlett, Tenn./Bartlett HS) had 10.
Kelsey Green (Memphis, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy) dished out 40 assists.
Amanda Dills led UAM with 15 digs, while Mallory Storm and Nicole Ferguson had 14 each. Meagan Peters and Vikki Crisco had 20 digs each, and Crisco collected a match-high 57 assists.
