BATESVILLE, Ark.—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs claimed a five-set win at Lyon Monday night in their first midweek road match.
The Lady Bucs (8-6) survived a back-and-forth match after winning 25-14 in the first set. They fell behind 2-1 after losing 25-22 and 26-24 in the next two sets, but they rallied to win the final two sets and the match, 25-19 and 15-8.
Michelle Hein (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) led the Lady Bucs with 14 kills, while #Kelly Nolan added 10.
Corinne Doder (St. Louis, Mo./Cor Jesu Academy) led the Lady Bucs' defense, which posted a season-high 92 digs, with 19. Nolan added 16, while
Kelsey Green (Memphis, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy) had 14. Hein logged 12 digs, while
Lauren South (Bartlett, Tenn./Bartlett HS) added 11.
The Lady Bucs will return to action tonight at 7 p.m. as they take on Rhodes at Canale Arena.
