MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs won their third straight match Tuesday night, winning a four-setter from Rhodes at Canale Arena.
The Lady Bucs (9-6) appeared on their way to a sweep, winning the first two sets 25-16 and 25-17 before falling 25-19 in the third set. They took the fourth set 25-20 to win the match.
Hanna Orendorff (Renton, Wash./Liberty HS) led the Lady Bucs with 15 kills and a .462 hitting percentage, while
Kelly Nolan (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain HS) added 11 kills and four aces.
Corinne Doder (St. Louis, Mo./Cor Jesu Academy) paced the Lady Bucs' defense with 20 digs. Nolan collected 13, while
Michelle Hein (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) had 10.
Kelsey Green (Memphis, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy) had 47 assists.
Kelsea Everett led Rhodes (3-7) with 10 kills, while Kayla McCrury had 20 digs.
The Lady Bucs return to action Saturday as they travel to Illinois-Springfield for a tri-match with Missouri Science and Technology and UIS. The Lady Bucs face Missouri S&T at 3:30 p.m. before facing host UIS at 6 p.m.
