FLORENCE, Ala.—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs were swept in a pair of matches in the University of North Alabama Classic Saturday, falling in three sets to No. 20 Indianapolis and California (Pa.).
In the opener, the Greyhounds (7-0) rolled to a 25-19, 25-8, 25-17 win as they hit .318 to the Lady Bucs' season-low -.042.
Hanna Orendorff (Renton, Wash./Liberty HS) led the Lady Bucs (5-4) with nine kills, while
Whitney Weyhrich (Lincoln, Neb./North Star HS) had 15 assists.
California (Pa.) hit .344 as a team as they claimed a 25-19, 25-16, 25-12 win in the Lady Bucs' final match of the tournament.
Kelly Nolan (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain HS) led the Lady Bucs with nine kills.
Corinne Doder (St. Louis, Mo./Cor Jesu Academy) had a match-high 11 digs, while
Michelle Hein (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) had 10 to go with six kills.
The Lady Bucs head back to northern Alabama next weekend as they play in the University of Alabama-Huntsville Country Inn & Suites Classic. The Lady Bucs will open play against UAH Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by matches against Montevallo, Newberry, and West Georgia.
