Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs won a pair of non-conference matches Saturday as they wrapped up a perfect 4-0 mark in the season-opening Christian Brothers University Invitational.

The Lady Bucs (4-0) claimed a hard-fought 26-24, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22 win over Cameron (1-2) in Saturday's first match.  In the opening set, the Lady Bucs appeared well in control with a 22-16 lead, but Cameron rallied to tie the set at 24, but an Aggie error and a Lizzie McLean (Munford, Tenn./Munford HS) kill lifted the Lady Bucs to a win.  In the second set, the Aggies led most of the way, building three different six-point leads before the Lady Bucs came back to tie it at 16.  After two Aggie points, the Lady Bucs rattled off nine straight to win the set, a stretch keyed by four Lauren South (Bartlett, Tenn./Bartlett HS) aces.  After the Aggies built a 19-11 lead in the third set, they held on for the 25-20 win, but the Lady Bucs scored eight of the last nine points to win 25-22 in the clincher.

Hailey Gillis (Corpus Christi, Texas/Carroll HS) paced the Lady Bucs with 15 kills, while Kelly Nolan (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain HS) had 10 kills and 17 digs.  Corinne Doder (St. Louis, Mo./Cor Jesu Academy) led the defense with 23 digs, while Michelle Hein (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) gathered 14.  Kelsey Miles (Cordova, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) added 10 digs to her season-high 48 assists.

In the second game against Missouri Western (2-2), the Lady Bucs hit .276 as a team as they rolled to a 25-16, 25-19, 25-18 win.  Hein and Nolan led the offense with nine kills each, and Doder notched 16 digs.  Hein added 14, while Miles collected 31 assists.

The Lady Bucs play their next 10 matches on the road, beginning with a trip to Freed-Hardeman Tuesday night at 7 p.m.  They also play in the Nova Southeastern Shark Classic next weekend.  Their next home match will be their GSC West opener on Tuesday, Sept. 21, against Henderson State at 6 p.m.
