The Lady Bucs set the tone early against American International (0-4), cruising to a 25-9 win in the first set, and they claimed each of the final two sets 25-15.  Freshman Hanna Kurtz (Memphis, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) continued a strong first weekend as she logged a team-best 12 kills and hit .611.  Sophomore Kaitlin Keathley (Henderson, Nev./Silverado HS) pounded 10 kills with three blocks and hit .643, while Kelsey Miles (Cordova, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) distributed 30 assists.  Corinne Doder (St. Louis, Mo./Cor Jesu Academy) posted a match-best 13 digs.

In the second game, the Lady Bucs won each of the first two sets 25-17 over Henderson State (0-4) before winning the final set 25-20.  Kelly Nolan (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain HS) led the way with 14 kills and 11 digs, while Kurtz and Lizzie McLean (Munford, Tenn./Munford HS) had 10 kills each.  The Lady Bucs' 13 aces were their best total in a three-set match since collecting 27 against Crichton in 2007.

The Lady Bucs' 4-0 start is their second in a row and the ninth in school history.  The consecutive 4-0 starts are the first since the Lady Bucs did it from 1981 to 1984.

The Lady Bucs hit the road Tuesday night as they visit former GSC foe Harding in the first non-conference match between the two schools since 1999, when Harding was a member of the Lone Star Conference.  Their next home match is set for Saturday, Sept. 17, when they host Union at 2 p.m.
