Box Score PENSACOLA, Fla.—No. 20 West Florida collected eight blocks and held the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs to a .000 hitting percentage in a three-set sweep of the Lady Bucs Friday night.
After the Lady Bucs (14-8, 7-3) took an early 7-6 lead in the first set, the Argos (18-7, 11-1 GSC) rattled off five straight points to take the lead for good, and they never trailed again, pulling away to a 25-16 win. UWF scored eight of the last 13 points to win 25-18 in the second set, and they rolled to a 25-10 win in the third set to seal the match.
Alecia Stewart (Rochester, Minn./Century HS) led the Lady Bucs with six kills and a .429 hitting percentage, and
Kelsey Miles (Cordova, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) collected 14 assists.
Kristina Headrick (Memphis, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) logged a team-high 12 digs.
Christine Bach paced the Argos with nine kills as she hit .615. K.C. Dobbins had 22 assists, and Colleen Starrs collected 18 digs.
The Lady Bucs return to action Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. as they visit Valdosta State.
