Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PENSACOLA, Fla.-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs dropped three-set matches to Florida Southern and Eckerd Saturday in the UWF South Region Crossover.

In the first match, Florida Southern (16-5) won the first two sets by identical 25-18 scores before finishing the match off with a 25-10 win in the third set.

Alexis Gillis (Corpus Christi, Texas/Carroll HS) led the Lady Bucs (8-14) with 11 kills in the match, while Jessica Reber (Byron, Ill./Byron HS) had 24 assists. Sami Gruse (Lafayette, Ind./Central Catholic HS) notched a team-best 10 digs.

Dominique Hale led FSC with nine kills. Brindl Langley logged a match-best 12 digs, and Kendall Marotti had 34 assists.

The day's second match followed a similar script, with Eckerd (11-8) winning the first two sets 25-19 and 25-20 before ending the match with a 25-11 third set.

Gillis again collected a match-best 13 kills, while Reber had team-highs of 24 assists and 10 digs.

Grace Jones led Eckerd with nine kills, and Kaleigh Humphrey picked up 16 digs. Madison Burr dished out a team-high 16 assists.

Gillis earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after collecting 51 kills, 31 digs, four assists, four aces, and four blocks over 14 sets in the tournament.

The Lady Bucs come home Tuesday night at 7 p.m. as they host Union.
