Lady Bucs Draw Chargers 1-1

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs battled to a 1-1 tie over 110 minutes at Alabama Huntsville Friday night in their first Gulf South Conference road game.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Chargers (4-4-2, 1-3-1 GSC) opened the scoring in the 36th minute as Isabel Shanteau scored off the rebound after Emily Wragg (Nottingham, England/The Becket School) saved Sydnie Fiocca's first shot.
• CBU (6-3-1, 3-1-1) equalized in the 72nd minute as Ingrid Mello (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School) scored her second goal of the season.
• From there, neither team could find the net as the game went to two scoreless overtimes.

KEY STATS:
• The Lady Bucs out-shot UAH 19-17, but the Chargers held a 7-5 lead in shots on goal. CBU out-shot UAH 11-2 in the second half and 5-3 over the overtimes.
• Wragg made five saves for the Lady Bucs.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Lady Bucs visit West Alabama Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. Their next home game is Friday, Oct. 9, when they host Delta State at 5 p.m.
