MEMPHIS-Visiting Lee spoiled the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs' Senior Day with a late rally in game two to complete a sweep.
GAME 1:WHAT HAPPENED:The Lady Flames (31-17, 18-11 GSC) scored four runs in the fifth inning to break a 1-1 tie and claim a 5-1 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• Lee scored first in the top of the first inning, with a run on a single and a pair of two-out errors.
• The Lady Bucs (10-41, 3-26) answered with a run in the bottom of the first.
Leigh Ward (Oriental, N.C./Pamlico HS) walked, moved to second on a
Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) sacrifice. After stealing third, she scored on a
Jennifer Gonzalez (Covina, Calif./Charter Oak HS) groundout.
• The score remained 1-1 until the fifth, when Lee scored four runs on a single, an error, a walk and a homer.
KEY STATS:•
Lauren Provence (Millington, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian HS) was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles.

Ali Hare (Cape Coral, Fla./Ida Baker HS) went 1-for-3.
• Ward was 0-for-1 but stole a base and scored a run.
GAME 2:WHAT HAPPENED:The Lady Bucs built an 8-1 lead in the first two innings, but Lee scored 10 runs over the final five innings to win 11-8 to sweep the twin bill.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• CBU plated three runs in the bottom of the first. Ward reached on an error and stole second and third, scoring on a single by Oyhenart. Gonzalez singled, and Provence followed with a single, and an error brought Oyhenart and Gonzalez home.
• Lee scored a run in the top of the second on a double and a single.
• The Lady Bucs scored five more in the bottom of the second.
Amy Gracia (Fontana, Calif./International Polytechnic HS) reached on an infield single and stole second. Ward followed with an infield single, and a wild throw allowed Gracia to score. Oyhenart reached on an error, and Gonzalez singled to load the bases. A bases-loaded walk to Provence gave CBU a 5-1 lead, and Hare hit a three-run triple to right to give CBU an 8-0 lead.
• The Lady Flames began to cut into the lead in the third, with two runs on a walk, a hit batter, a single and a double. They tacked on two more in the fourth on two doubles, two walks and a single.
• Lee took the lead with a four-run sixth inning, capitalizing on five straight one-out singles.
• The Lady Flames set the final margin with two in the top of the seventh on a single and two doubles.
KEY STATS:• Hare went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI.
• Gonzalez was 2-for-4 with two runs.
• Ward went 1-for-4 with a walk, two stolen bases and two runs.
• Oyhenart was 2-for-4 with a run and one RBI.
