MEMPHIS-Visiting North Alabama scored once in each half as they claimed a 2-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Wednesday night in the Lady Bucs' season finale.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lions (8-7-0, 7-4-0 GSC) opened the scoring in the 43rd minute as Stacey Webber finished off a throughball from Eleanor Costello.
• UNA doubled its lead in the 57th minute. CBU (4-11-1, 4-7-1) goalkeeper
Emily Wragg (Nottingham, England/The Becket School) saved Shelby Wall's first shot off the crossbar, but Kylie Huey scored a one-touch shot on the rebound for her 10th goal of the season.
• The Lions' shutout was saved by the woodwork twice early in the second half. First, in the 50th minute,
Melissa Tammi (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) sent a long shot off the crossbar, and
Caitlin Barnes (Olive Branch, Miss./Center Hill HS) found the crossbar again in the 72nd minute.
