PENSACOLA, Fla.-Top-seeded West Florida swept the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs in three sets Saturday afternoon to end the Lady Bucs' season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Argos (25-8) jumped to a 9-0 lead in the first set, using four Monique St. Cyr aces in the run. They never allowed CBU (18-14) closer than seven points again in a 25-12 win.
• The Lady Bucs used a four-point run to take a 7-4 edge in the second set, but the Argos answered with a 7-1 run to regain the lead for good at 11-8. A three-point run later in the set brought the Lady Bucs within 18-17, but the Argos scored seven of the final nine points to win 25-19.
• The Argos took control of the third set with a 7-1 run that gave them a 12-5 edge. A 6-1 run later in the set extended the advantage to 20-9 en route to a 25-12 win to complete the sweep.
KEY STATS:

Mary Kathryn Miller (Fulton, Ky./Fulton City HS) hit .267 with seven kills and two blocks.

Emma Lenoir (Chattanooga, Tenn./East Hamilton HS) had seven kills and five digs.

Jessica Reber (Byron, Ill./Byron HS) collected 17 assists with five digs and four blocks.
•
Blythe Clausen (Hendersonvile, Tenn./Pope John Paul II HS) notched a team-high 11 digs.
