Lady Bucs fall on the road against West Georgia

CARROLLTON, Ga - The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs could not get it going on the road against the University of West Georgia on the way to a 3-0 loss on Friday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • West Georgia (6-7-2, 6-4-0 GSC) forward Jazmine Santiago scored both first half goals, scoring in the 10th and again in the 19th minute.
  • Santiago and UWG struck again in the 50th minute, putting the game out of reach for the Lady Bucs.
     
KEY STATS:
  • Friday's loss marks only the second game the Lady Bucs (7-5-1, 6-4-0) have been held scoreless, with the other coming at home vs. No. 9 Barry in a 1-0 loss.
  • Lady Bucs goalkeeper Riley Chafin (Little Rock, Ark./Central HS) saved seven shots in the loss for CBU, marking her third consecutive game with at least seven saves. Chafin's season and career-high came exactly one week ago when she posted 11 saves against Lee University.
     
WHAT'S NEXT?:
CBU remains on the road this weekend, scheduled to face Valdosta State on Sunday, with first kick marked at 12:00 p.m. Their next home game is Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. as they host Montevallo.
