MONTEVALLO, Alabama-Host Montevallo racked up 11 blocks as they swept the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Friday night.
Montevallo 3, CBU 0 (25-10, 25-21, 25-17)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Falcons (19-7, 10-3 GSC) hit .444 in the opening set, storming to early leads of 4-0 and 7-1 on their way to a 25-10 win.
• Montevallo hit .407 a set later and again jumped to an early 5-1 lead. The Lady Bucs (12-16, 3-9) drew even five times, as late as 17-all on an
Emma Lenoir (Chattanooga, Tenn./East Hamilton HS) kill, before Montevallo used a three-point run to take the lead for good, eventually winning 25-21.
• The third set saw CBU take an early 3-1 lead, a lead they would hold as late as 6-5, before a five-point run gave the Falcons the lead for good, and a later seven-point run extended it to 19-11 en route to a 25-17 win to clinch the sweep.
KEY STATS:
• Lenoir rapped out a match-best 11 kills with nine digs.

Alexa Henderson (Prairie du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie HS) had 21 assists, five digs and two aces.

Joze Smith (Atoka, Tenn./Tipton-Rosemark Academy) garnered nine digs with one ace.

The Lady Bucs play their final road match of the season tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. as they visit Alabama Huntsville before finishing with three straight at home next week, beginning Tuesday night at 7 p.m. against Union.
