FLORENCE, Alabama-No. 8 North Alabama swept a doubleheader from the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Monday, winning 6-0 and 12-0.
GAME 1:
WHAT HAPPENED:
The Lions (37-4, 24-2 GSC) tossed a two-hit shutout as they claimed a 6-0 win in the opener.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• UNA scored the only runs it would need in the top of the second, plating a pair on  leadoff Katie Eakes homer, with another score on a single and a double, both with two away.
• Playing as the visiting team since the series was originally scheduled for Memphis, the Lions added another score in the fourth on two singles, a stolen base and a wild pitch.
• UNA set the final margin with two in the seventh on a double, a walk, a hit batter and two singles.
KEY STATS:

Ashlyn Hinton (Anniston, Ala./White Plains HS) went 1-for-2 for the Lady Bucs (9-33, 1-25).

Olivia Parsels (Germantown, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) was 1-for-3.
GAME 2:
WHAT HAPPENED:
UNA scored two or more runs in four of the game's six innings in a 12-0 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lions opened the scoring with two in the second on a walk and two singles.
• UNA added two more an inning later on two singles and a double, all with two out.
• The Lions plated three more in the fourth on two singles and two doubles.
• UNA put it out of reach with five in the sixth on an error, three doubles and a three-run homer by Katie Parr.
KEY STATS:
• Parsels went 1-for-3.

Holly Oyhenart (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley HS) was 1-for-3.

The Lady Bucs return to action Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. as they visit Auburn-Montgomery for a doubleheader. Their next home game is set for Saturday, April 28, when they host Union for a 1 p.m. twinbill.
