MEMPHIS-Visiting Alabama Huntsville rallied for a five-set win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Friday night at Canale Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lady Bucs (6-7, 1-1 GSC) hit .368 in the first set. After the teams traded leads early, UAH (11-2, 2-0) used an 8-2 run to open a 15-12 edge. The Lady Bucs answered with a 7-2 burst to regain a 21-19 lead, and they closed the set with three straight points to win 25-22.
• The Chargers jumped to an early 7-3 lead in the second set, a lead they would never relinquish. CBU came within a point six times, including as late as 17-16 on a
Mollie Wadsworth (Hernando, Miss./Northpoint Christian HS) kill. UAH answered with three straight to take a 20-16 edge, eventually pulling away to a 25-21 win.
• The Lady Bucs took a quick 9-5 lead in the third set, and they blew their lead open with a six-point run to take a 19-11 edge, holding on to win 25-20.
• The Chargers exploded for leads of 3-0, 6-1, 8-3 and 13-6 in the fourth set, leading by as many as 10 points at 24-14.
Miaya Smith (Memphis, Tenn./St. George's Independent School) was responsible for five straight points, three on blocks and two on kills, in a six-point run to trim the deficit to 24-20 before UAH clinched the win and forced a decisive fifth set.
• UAH dominated the fifth set, scoring the first four points on a service error, two blocks and an ace, and the Lady Bucs never came closer than two points again as UAH pulled away for a 15-6 win.
KEY STATS:

Emma Lenoir (Chattanooga, Tenn./East Hamilton HS) pounded 26 kills with 14 digs, three blocks and an ace for 28.5 points.

Miaya Smith (Memphis, Tenn./St. George's Independent School) hit .481 with 16 kills and six blocks for 19.5 points.
• Wadsworth added 10 kills with three blocks.

Alexa Henderson (Prairie du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie HS) dished out 44 assists with 13 digs.

Anna Graziosi (Lakeland, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) had a team-high 17 digs with nine assists.
•
Joze Smith (Atoka, Tenn./Tipton-Rosemark Academy) amassed 15 digs with five assists.
•
Blythe Clausen (Hendersonville, Tenn./Pope John Paul II HS) garnered 13 digs with one ace.
