MEMPHIS - The Christian Brothers University volleyball team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat visiting West Alabama, on Friday at Canale Arena.
CBU 3, UWA 2 (22-25, 18-25, 25-21, 25-15, 15-10)
WHAT HAPPENED: The Lady Bucs rallied from two sets down, which included a 24-13 advantage in kills over the last two sets.
KEY STATS:
- CBU recorded a .245 hitting percentage, while the Tigers hit .243.
- The Lady Bucs had a 14-9 edge in blocks.
- Mollie Wadsworth (17)and Emma Lenoir (16) led CBU in kills
- Meredith Hollinger finished with a career-high seven blocks.
- The 14 blocks are the most this season for CBU.
- The Lady Bucs were out blocked 10-4.
- With the victory, CBU snapped an eight match losing skid.
- The win marked the first time since Oct. 24, 2017 that the Lady Bucs had come back from down two sets to win a match (Lyon College).
