ROME- The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs battled the Hawks from Shorter University on Friday evening. The teams traded punches in each set, but the Hawks were able to edge CBU to win 3-1.

WHAT HAPPENED: A more efficient hitting percentage for the Hawks seemed to be the difference in the match as they rode it to a 3-1 victory.
KEY STATS:
Miaya Smith (16) and Emma Lenoir (15) were the only two CBU players with double digit kills.
Anna Graziosi led the passing for the Lady Bucs with 24 assists.
Smith recorded the highest hitting percentage for the Lady Bucs (.480).
Smith finished with a game high six blocks.
