JACKSON, Tenn. – Union scored three runs in two different innings, and a single run in two others, in an 8-0 (5) victory over the Christian Brothers University softball team, on Sunday at Fesmire Field. The contest was the last of the season for the Lady Bucs. 
  
FINAL SCORE:  UNION 8 (29-23, 14-16 GSC), CBU 0 (11-38 2-26 GSC) 
 
GAME CHANGER:
- Union scored three runs in the first inning, and three more in the third. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Union finished the game with a 10-3 advantage in hits.
- Marquisha Sanders, Maddi Welch and Kendall Westbrooks had the hits for CBU.


KEY PLAYS:
- In the top of the first, the Lady Bucs had runners on second and third with just one out, but a line out and a ground out ended the inning. 
- Union capitalized, scoring three in the bottom of the first, on a stolen base, an RBI double and a run-scoring single. 
- The Lady Bulldogs added three more, in the third, on a solo home run, a triple and an infield single. 
- After Union scored a run in the fourth, it ended the game in the fifth on an RBI double. 

NOTEABLES:
- Welch finished her career as the CBU all-time leader with 199 games played. 
- The senior class, (Abby Ferreira, Welch and Sierra Anderson) combined to play in 540 games.
