Alabama Huntsville Uses Big Inning to Beat Lady Bucs

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – After trailing 1-0 in the fourth inning, No. 25 Alabama Huntsville scored eight runs to help defeat the Christian Brothers University softball team 9-1, on Sunday, at Charger Park. 

With the win, Alabama Huntsville swept the series. 

FINAL SCORE:  UAH 9 (15-6, 10-2 GSC), CBU 1 (9-17, 3-9 GSC) (6)  
 
GAME CHANGER:
- UAH sent 13 batters to the plate in the fourth inning, taking advantage of five hits, two walks and two hit batters. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- UAH finished with an 8-4 advantage in hits. 
- Five UAH hits came in the fourth inning. 
- Kendall Westbrooks led the Lady Bucs at the plate, finishing 2-for-2 with a home run. 

KEY PLAYS:
- After the Lady Bucs left runners on base in two of the first three innings, they finally got on the board when Kendall Westbrooks sent a pitch over the left field fence. 
- The hosts responded in a big way, plating eight runs in the bottom of the inning. 
- UAH ended the game in the sixth with an RBI double. 

UP NEXT:
The Lady Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 10 when they host Lindenwood. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
