WHAT HAPPENED: The Lady Bucs held late leads in the second and third sets, but Valdosta State came away with the win.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The hosts jumped out to an early 6-2 lead, but the Lady Bucs fought back to tie the score at 12. The Lady Blazers scored 13 of the next 19 points to win the set.Â
- CBU led by as many as six points (15-9) early in the set. The Lady Blazers then stormed back to tie the set at 19.Â
- With the Lady Bucs leading 22-19, VSU took advantage of a service error and used it to spark a 6-1 run to win the set.Â
- Valdosta State carried the momentum into the third set, and raced out to a 14-7 lead.Â
- Keeping with the theme of the match, the Lady Bucs battled back to earn a 15-14 advantage.
- Â VSU took advantage of five CBU errors, and scored 11 of the next 15 points to win the match.Â
