Memphis, Tenn. - Brynne Lytle became the all-time scoring leader for the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team, helping the Lady Bucs dominate Union, in an 84-57 victory, on Saturday afternoon, at Canale Arena.
Lytle now has 1,585 career points, surpassing the record of Breanna Ridgell, who scored 1,553 points from 2012-2015.
The victory for CBU marked the first win over its in-state rival since a 63-53 decision on December 10, 2016, and was also the highest margin of victory (27) for the Lady Bucs against Union in program history.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lady Bucs led for a majority of a fast paced opening 10 minutes, and held a 17-12 advantage after one.
- CBU held the Lady Bulldogs to just 5-of-15 shooting in the first quarter.
- CBU opened the second with an 8-4 run to extend its lead to 11, but Union cut the deficit to four later in the quarter.
- The Lady Bucs led 36-23 with 3:03 left, but Union scored the next six to cut the halftime deficit to 36-29.
- CBU opened the third quarter with a 12-1 run, using eight straight points from Emily Jones to push the lead to as many as 18.
- Union cut into the lead, and trailed 58-43 after three.
- In the final quarter, the Lady Bucs shot 10-for-16 from the field, including 5-for-8 (63 percent) from three point range, to hold on for the victory.
