CLINTON, Miss. - The Christian Brothers University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Mississippi College, in the final away match of the 2021 GSC Spring Championship Series, on Wednesday evening, at A.E. Wood Coliseum.
 

Mississippi College 3, CBU 0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-10)

WHAT HAPPENED: The Lady Bucs were held to a -.036 kill percentage, while the hosts hit .258.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• In the first set, CBU and MC kept the score close, until MC finished the set on a 13-4 run, winning 25-15.
• CBU and MC started the second set much like the first as MC then used a 15-7 run to close out the set by a score of 25-16
• The Lady Bucs trailed 15-3 to start the third set and could not find any momentum as they lost the final set 25-10.

KEY STATS:

• Madison Spiva led the Lady Bucs with 6 kills and one block.
• Alayna Maslinski led CBU with 11 assists.
• Kimmy Hammond finished with a career high 16 digs
• CBU finished the match with a 44-36 advantage in digs.
