Mississippi College Eliminates Lady Bucs from GSC Tournament

CLINTON, Miss. - The No. 7 seed Christian Brothers University women's soccer team was eliminated from the Gulf South Conference Tournament, with a 3-0 loss at No. 2 seed Mississippi College, on Sunday afternoon, at Robert P. Longabaugh Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
8' | MC opened the scoring when Erin Hederman scored from close range after she back heeled a pass from Avery Hederman.
HALF | The hosts took a 1-0 lead into halftime and had a 14-3 advantage in shots. Chloe Hillyer kept the Lady Bucs in the match with five first half saves. 
51' | After Hillyer saved a penalty kick, in the 49th minute MC scored two minutes later when Beatrice Curry chipped a shot past Hillyer after a through ball from Avery Hederman. 
61' | MC finished the scoring less than 10 minutes later after Curry fired a shot, from outside the box, into the top corner.

The hosts finished the game with a 26-5 advantage in shots, and a 12-1 advantage in shots on goal. 
Cheyenne Smith had the lone shot on target for CBU.
