ROME, Ga. - Lynn outscored the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team 51-36 in the second half to earn a 82-73 win, on Friday afternoon, at the Winthrop-King Centre. The contest marked the season opener for both teams.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Lynn jumped out to a 16-5 lead, the Lady Bucs responded with an 8-0 run that cut the deficit to 16-13.
- The Fighting Knights outscored CBU 8-3, over the final 2:14 to take a 24-16 lead after one quarter.
- CBU held Lynn to just 3-of-12 shooting, in a 21-7 second quarter, to take a 37-31 lead into halftime.
- The Lady Bucs were 14-of-22 from the floor in the first half, while Lynn was 12-for-26.
- In the third quarter, Lynn shot 5-of-7 from three point range to take a 58-57 lead into the fourth quarter.
- A 11-3 run increased the lead to 69-60, with 5:45 left.
- After Lynn grew the lead to 75-61, CBU cut the lead to 76-71 with 2:25 remaining.
- The Fighting Knights scored six of the last eight points to hold on for the win.
